DAY ONE – Washington, D.C. Tour / Tour 105300945

Departure: Tour Director Tim Morner informs us that the group assembly at the airport went well with all tour participants in complete attendance. It was great to hear that both the security check (TSA) and the aircraft boarding processes went very efficiently. An unexpected pleasure on this outbound flight was to have Congresswoman Michelle Bachman on the plane with us. Arrival: Delta flight #2294 landed at DCA (Washington National Airport) at 4:35pm versus the anticipated at 4:22pm, so only a slight delay. The group was blessed by a very effiient baggage pickup and loading of the motorcoach, which more than made up the time, putting them right back on schedule. Dinner: The group had vouchers for the dinner at the Old Post Office Pavillion, which means everyone gets to pick their own favorite (hoagies, stir fry chicken, pizza, etc. etc.). 🙂 Illumination Tour: Completed Hotel Check-In: Group Security Officer ON...
