Attention: Our Friday morning participation in the CBS Early Show has been cancelled. We have decided to move our venue to the NBC Today Show. The Today Show airs 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM. After an excellent dinner and private showing of a movie in Gettysburg last night, we spent the first half of Wednesday in Gettysburg. Day 4 -Wednesday, St. John’s Lutheran East Coast Tour
Girls make good soldiers, too. A bit rainy at times this morning. Our tour expert battlefield guide (Mike) is outstanding. St. John’s students and parents on the summit of Little Round Top, site of the Union Army’s critically important day two victory during the three day Battle of Gettysburg. Cold but clear, weather holding. Jack Whitaker reads the Gettysburg Address at Gettysburg Cemetery, on the exact spot that Abraham Lincoln his famous 2 minute speech. To honor the memory of Abraham Lincoln, St. John’s students place a penny on the Lincoln Memorial Statue at the cemetery! We are now 2 hours from NYC….looking forward to pizza and a Broadway Show...
