Day 1: Our Redeemer Lutheran 7-Day East Coast Tour
Our Redeemer on the steps of the National Archives Even though we did not see the President and First Lady we still had a nice time seeing their house After a great visit at Arlington National Cemetery we had some fun times playing volleyball and eating dinner practically on the banks of the Potomac River. It was awesome! Our Redeemer students got some volleytime time in with their biannual cross Pacific rivals (and friends) from Christ and Loving Savior Lutheran Schools Getting these schools together brings some family members together too. Here is some sister love for ya. Jenny Jordan (Christ Lutheran) and her sis Kristy Schroppel (Our Redeemer). Day 1: Loving Savior Lutheran 6-Day East Coast Tour
We made it! After a great breakfast at McGill’s restaurant in Annondale, VA., Christ Lutheran and Loving Savior 8th graders made it to the FDR Memorial. It is a beautiful day to start our tour! Christ Lutheran & Loving Savior Lutheran students waiting In a bread line with representations of a few who actually experienced the Great Depression. Christ & Loving Savior students pose at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. We all walked around the tidal basin fro FDR to MLK. What a beautiful walk we had. Our presentation in Ford’s Theater was excellent. You can see President Lincoln’s box in this photo. We are learning a lot. Students pose with Mr. Lincoln. So, we made it to the National Archives where we saw the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and The Bill of Rights, and, oh yes, the Magna Carta.
