Day 5: Tour 103361557, 6-Day East Coast Tour

Ellis Island receiving area. Our students are getting into the mood! In spite of the storm and lightning outside, we made it to Ellis Island, staging area for 12 million immigrants before 1924. This is the Registry Room behind us. Rain continues. But we are resilient! Waiting to board the ferry to Battery Park in Lower Manhattan. Arrived in NYC no worse for wear. Getting ready for our ‘now’ driving tour. The rain stopped just intone for us to get a photo of the group under the Brooklyn Bridge. We were able to spend a few moments at New York’s 911 Memorial. Very beautiful; very solemn. Yep, zero visibility here at the Top of the Rock, but we enjoyed the 69 floor elevator ride. Nasty weather outside. We LOVE New York!! See you all soon! Thank You...
